Language is indeed a livign changing thing, much like culture or clothing style. And much like with culture and style there is a reason why people with half a brain prefer to wear a suit and open doors to ladies and not wear parachute pants around their ankles while screaming yolo. Have some class and pride in yourself, that language is fit for jokes and texting. If i ever see somebody write a book using that kinda linguistic patterns un-ironically, not within character or not to a humorous effect i will personally beat the author to death with this "book".

Sometimes books written for the love of the written word like to have fun with language. Shakespere used tons of wordplay and introduced new words to the language because he didn't follow the rules. Words like assassinate. (Though I should note he's probably not the first to use the word, he's the one who popularized the usage and that's why there's a place for new linguistic phenomena in literature.)

There's a difference between innovations of a genius writer and words that were added to the dictionary because a few million of american teenagers can't be arsed to spell words properly while texting
