Fantasy Sports

Anybody play? I recently started a fantasy basketball league. And am kind of addicted. Also a fantasy hockey league, but the NHL hasn't started yet. And I know nothing about hockey.

too american for me to know of. how's this shit work?

Isn't it the case that oyu put together a team from various player of different teams and hope they do good during the season?

oh, i thought it was a case of "my imaginary team can kick your imaginary team's ass" "no, MY imaginary team can kick YOUR imaginary team's ass! "Bitch please my imaginary team has robocop on it!" "Oh yeah, well i have terminator!" and so on and so forth.

what are these fantasy sports and where does one go to play them...

There are websites were you can set up a league. Since a lot of you guys watch futbol, you should try fantasy futbol with each other and see who is the best manager.

You basically draft players and then you have to manage them throughout the season. Pick who to play during each game. Make trades, drop players. Figure out what to do when injuries happen. Whether you win or lose depends on how your players do throughout the season. So it's a test of how well you could build and manage the best team.

"aint nobody got time for that" sounds like a lot of work and time for which im too lazy to make such an investment

It's like a ten min a day investment during the season. I mean if you're watching the sport anyway.

I'm doing something similar already but in the light version. You set up a team, hope your player are awesome and wait for the end of the season

then i'd be at a disadvantage cuz i haven't been watching any sports these days just check results from time to time

Me too. I'm playing by just checking the scores.

Yeah, it is kinda fun, especially setting it up and hoping every weekend that your players are doing a good job...which they sometimes don't...and I can't even remember all my players

After weeks of winning easily, injuries have really hurt my match up this week.

What sport are you playing again?

I haven't looked up my score in ages...should do that probably before it starts again...

Edit: just looked it up Shouldn't have done it. This season so far is really really really really bad! Damn it

I would play the hell out of fantasy fantasy sports.

I always thought that that was the POINT of fantasy sports teams I mean if you want to play with real people - just turn on the sports channel. And if you're using your fantasy, well, might as well go all out I got Riddick as a goalkeeper and Hiruma as coach

That kind of fantasy sports would equal a lot of dumb fanboy arguments though.

That dependso n who you're arguing with For example one of the perks of our community being so small is that i can pretty much start a fanboy argument with any of you and will get an interesting convo that does not rely on "Well , i fucked yo mamma" comments to gain upper hand
