Yes. A packed house audience in a great movie is a lot of fun. You're sharing in the experience. Plus I can go around the corner afterwards to my local pub for a beer.

I thought pubs were a british thing

Pubs get imported by ex Brits all the time. American pubs are a bit different but it serves beer, and there is usually great dart games.
