I'm still surprised that he lost to Akainu.... That prick just doesn't seem like the "all-powerful" kind of type. I have logn since speculated that at some point Aokiji just gave up, maybe to carry out some ulterior motive of his - much like it is hinted in this chapter Very Happy

Yea same here I always thought Aokiji was the strongest of the Admirals.
I guess it could be that Akainu had the elemental advantage(hell if I know how that works in OP though) or Aokiji hesitated during the fight ('cus he killed another comrade of his in the past)
